South Asia Forum for Freedom of Religion or Belief ( SAFFoRB) is a human rights network. It is working among diverse faith groups,human rights organisations and civil societies in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Pakistan Sri Lanka ( Six South Asian Countries )

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion;
this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
SAFFoRB extends the deadline for “Grassroots level Grants for the FoRB initiatives”
SAFFoRB is extending the deadline for inviting applications from civil societies in South Asia for the “Grassroots level Grants for the FoRB initiatives .” SAFFoRB aims to support 12 grassroots-level grants for local civil societies through small grants. These initiatives could be based on the local context and need, including FoRB training, follow-up on the UPR process, research reports, fact-finding visits, campaigns, etc. Each grant will be 3000 Euros, and the project must be completed within three to six months.
The following criteria will be used to select the project.
- Coherent to the Vision and mission of the FoRB & FoRB focus
- Interreligious Collaboration between different civil society and religious groups
- Awareness-raising, capacity building and advocacy work,
- the time plan and activities should be doable
To apply for the grant, please send your application to safforb@gmail.com on or before 15 December 2024. The SAFFoRB will review the applications in December, and the selected projects could commence in January 2025. We look forward to receiving your innovative proposals. However, the SAFFoRB will only accept one proposal from one organisation.
